OSH Working Group

‘Health & Safety’ is an important business element for the rental industry and one ‎of the core areas within the next strategic period of ERA to support the overall vision ‎to increase the attractiveness of rental as an employer.‎ It is also of central interest for many customer groups of the rental ‎industry, especially the construction industry, which is to some extent confronted ‎with accident rates that are too high.‎ Furthermore, it is anchored within the UN SDGs (Strategic ‎Development Goals) and is, therefore, a great fit with the sustainability initiatives of ‎ERA.‎  

For those reasons, the ERA Board decided to create a new Working Group, the OSH Working Group. This Working Group met for the first time on 11 September in Brussels for their kick-off meeting.  

The objectives of this group of experts are the following:  

Develop ‘Health & Safety’ related content, concepts and supporting material for the ‎ERA members in an efficient and high-quality manner‎
Expand the digital ERA library with state-of-the-art best practices, guidelines and ‎trainings, tools and instruments from members, for members‎
Help the industry to convert ‘Health & Safety’ from a pure technical or legal ‎compliance topic into an integrated business element and position rental as a caring ‎industry‎
Focus on key OSH dimensions beyond ‘compliance’
