ERA contribution for the EU Circular Economy Act

ERA’s new position paper for the EU Circular Economy Act showcases rental as one of Europe’s most effective circular economy solutions. By enabling shared access, maximising equipment life, and reducing resource use, the rental industry plays a key role in environmental, social, and economic sustainability.

The paper calls on the EU to recognise rental as a flagship circular model and to support it through favourable taxation, strong Green Public Procurement criteria, and a broader Digital Product Passport.
