‎15th ERA Convention brings European rental industry together for first time in 2 years

Oct 6, 2021 | ERA news

The European equipment rental industry came together for the first time in more than 2 years at the 15th annual ERA Convention in Amsterdam on 29 and 30 September, with over 300 people from 23 countries learning, exchanging, networking and celebrating success in the industry.

After the “rollercoaster” 18 months of the COVID-19 pandemic, ERA President and CEO of Boels Rental, Pierre Boels, opened the Convention by saying that it “will be a great opportunity for all of us to spend some time together and realise ‎how important it is to meet again‎.”

Over the course of the 2 days, professionally moderated by Dutch journalist Maarten Bouwhuis, the attendees received an update on the key ERA deliverables on sustainability and cybersecurity, an expert look at using data to improve the customer experience and transforming a business with digital technology, and an update on market trends in the European rental industry.

The workshops on the second day enabled the participants to exchange views on data and digitalisation in relation to the customer journey, maintenance and training, sustainability and the overall impact on the industry, before the Convention closed with a fascinating exposition of the human brain and the digital world with renowned neuroscientist Dr Henning Beck.

Congratulations to all the winners of the European Rental Awards, which were held at the end of the first day of the Convention, and thank you to all our sponsors and exhibitors.

Presentations and photos from the event are available on the ERA Convention page.

Thanks to everyone who joined us in Amsterdam for making it a memorable occasion. We look forward to seeing you again at the next ERA Convention on 15 and 16 June 2022 in Riga.
