ERA Guide on EU Data Act ‎ for equipment rental companies

The EU Data Act (Regulation (EU) 2023/2854) entered into force on 12 September 2025 and is a cornerstone of the EU’s data strategy. It aims to make data generated by connected products and related digital services more accessible and usable across the economy, while ensuring fairness and equal opportunities.

The Regulation introduces rights for users to access certain readily available product and service data and, upon request, to have that data shared with designated third parties under fair conditions.
