The European Equipment Rental Industry 2012 Report
Following the success of its previous reports on the European Rental Industry, the European Rental Association has published its fourth market statistics report of the construction equipment rental market in Europe, “The European Equipment Rental Industry 2012 Report”. The report contains a country-by-country analysis of over 12 European countries (plus a qualitative analysis of the Russian market), and includes detailed market size information for the years 2009-2012 and key ratios among which fleet size and investment as well as penetration rates. The report also contains forecasts for years 2013 and 2014 per country.
The report has been the work of the ERA's Statistics Committee in collaboration with IHS Global Insight, the global economic and financial analysis company.
For each of the 12 countries covered, the Report includes the following detailed information on European and national markets, concerning equipment rental without operator:
- Total rental turnover
- Investment in Rental Equipment
- Rental Fleet Size
- Penetration Rates
- Number of Rental Companies (categorised by number of employees)
In addition, the report provides an overview of the rental industry in the remaining EU27 + EFTA, as well as a special report on the rental industry in Russia.
Thanks to the new NACE rev. 2 classification of economic activities, the report has almost entirely moved to official data sourced from National Statistics Offices since it offers the most robust and reliable information on a transparent basis across all countries. This data was supplemented with industry reports and results from its own survey.
Data has been gathered from 12 European countries.
Countries covered: Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Spain, Sweden and the UK.
