The Global Rental Alliance (GRA) is a networking organisation of equipment rental associations formed in 2003 to promote rental worldwide.

The alliance creates an opportunity for members to learn from one another and discuss universal issues, such as promotion, sustainability, digitalisation, market penetration, safety, training and skills, and attracting talent to the industry.

It has been an important vehicle over the years for promoting the industry around the world and has expanded from its original six members to eight members today from Europe, North and South America, Asia and Australasia.

Since 2021, the GRA Secretariat has been administered by the European Rental Association.

The work of the GRA is currently focused on 3 main topics:

• People (led by HAE)
• Promotion (led by HRIA)
• Sustainability (led by ERA)
