The ERA Convention 2021: ‘Smart Rental’ took place on 29 and 30 September at the Postillion Hotel in Amsterdam alongside the European Rental Awards.

Around 300 people from 23 countries attended the event, which focused on digitalisation and data. Industry experts provided the participants with insight into how to use data to improve the customer experience and transform a business with digital technology, whilst the event also showcased some key ERA tools for rental companies in the areas of sustainability and cybersecurity, and gave an update on the market trends in the industry.

The workshops on the second day enabled the participants to exchange views on data and digitalisation in relation to the customer journey, maintenance and training, sustainability and the overall impact on the industry, before the Convention closed with a fascinating exposition of the human brain and the digital world with renowned neuroscientist Dr Henning Beck.

The 14th annual European Rental Awards will take place on 29 September at the Postillion Hotel in Amsterdam at the end of the first day of the ERA Convention.
