News Item: CITB Extends Levy Payments Suspension Period
The Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) training levy that all construction firms must pay was suspended for three months April-June to help alleviate financial pressures during the Covid-19 lockdown. This suspension is now being extended for another three months, until September 2020 and rates will then be temporarily cut.

The Health Safety Executive (HSE) has produced new guidance which follows lobbying from Hire Association Europe (HAE), Build UK and International Powered Access Federation (IPAF). Lobbying from industry groups illustrated concerns that it may not be easy or possible to get safety testing certificates renewed while the country is still in partial lockdown.
